Family Session at Berry Springs Park | Austin Family Photographer

Meet The Waleks.

I met this family about a year ago. Their kids attend the same school my daughter goes to and we hit it off ever since. When they approached me for a family session I immediately said yes! I love their family and their children are as adorable as they are sweet.

We decided on Berry Springs Park in Georgetown because of its proximity to their house and also because it’s an amazing park for kiddos. The park itself is HUGE and very spread out. It sits on acres of Farm Land and was an old pecan tree orchard if I’m not mistaken. It’s also a popular spot for hikers and bikers because of the trails that are woven throughout this gorgeous space.

Berry Springs Park has a rustic edge to it. There’s a pond, an old empty house, huge pecan trees, natural surroundings, and donkeys. Yes, donkeys! The park is clean and has ample parking and restrooms on-site.

During this session we walked around and kept the kids entertained with silly jokes and easy posing. However, it didn’t take much to get these kiddos to smile for the camera as you can see. Such a happy family!

Berry Springs Park in Georgetown is the perfect spot for Family photos. In the Spring time there’s tons of blooming Texas wildflowers and nicely manicured grass. (It is a nature preserve, so remember to bring the bug spray and watch out for ant piles.) In the Fall the trees shed their leaves and make way for tall grassy fields and perfect sunsets. If you live North of Austin, or don’t mind the drive, I would highly recommend this location for your next session.
