It is best to reserve your newborn session as early as possible. I take on a limited number of newborn families each month so that every client receives a relaxed and attentive experience. Some months fill quickly, especially during busy seasons.

I photograph newborns between one and eight weeks old. While many people assume sessions must happen right after birth, I find the sweetest time is around two to three weeks. By then, most families have settled into a gentle rhythm at home, which makes the session feel calmer and more natural.

Your due date simply holds your place on my calendar. Once your baby arrives, we will choose a session day that works best for your family. If your little one comes early or late, we will adjust the schedule with ease.

Your home is often the most meaningful place to photograph this season of life. It is where you will spend long days and quiet nights with your new baby, and those familiar spaces help tell your story in a very natural way.

Homes with soft, natural window light tend to photograph best. If you have one or two rooms with bright, open light, that is usually all we need for a beautiful session. I will guide you in choosing the best spots so everything feels simple and relaxed.

In-home sessions are popular because everything you need is right there. You can stay comfortable, move at your baby’s pace, and never worry about packing up or leaving the house.

If your home does not have the natural light needed for this style of photography, a studio session is a wonderful alternative. The studio offers clean, bright light and a calm environment. Studio sessions are available for an additional fee.

Newborn lifestyle session prices are calculated for immediate family members only. If you wish to include more family members, that’s wonderful! Just let me know the details and I’ll provide you with a custom quote.

The thing I love about newborn lifestyle photography is that it captures the new baby and all of its natural surroundings. Your baby is an extension of YOU and you are a part of their story.

Every baby is different, but I’ve never had an issue with this. If the baby is fussy, it just means it’s time to take a break and tend to their needs. I am not afraid of crying babies and your little one does not have to be a perfect doll in order to get amazing photographs.
